Dr. Michaela Fry, Owner/Veterinarian

Dr. Michaela Fry assumes the ownership responsibilities and part-time veterinarian position at Pleasant View/Juniata Veterinary Clinics. Dr. Fry was born and raised in East Waterford, Pennsylvania and received her B.S. in Veterinary Medical Technology at Wilson College in 2004. While at Wilson College she also minored in Biology, Chemistry, and History. In 2008, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Fry has medical interests in small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Fry joined our team in 2008 and purchased the practice from Dr. Braunstein in March of 2015 and has continued to build on the foundation that he built ever since.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Fry is a 4H leader for the “Southern Roots” Livestock club. In February of 2024, Dr. Fry and her husband, Jason, welcomed their first child, Maude, into their lives. They reside in Juniata County and have a small farm consisting of sheep, dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, peacocks, and two ‘mini’ pigs. In Dr. Fry’s spare time, her interests include breeding and caring for her Romeldale/CVM sheep, sharing her passion for animals through education, and reading historical books and memoirs. She also loves to travel and the highlight of her life is spending time with her family.

Dr. Melissa Ehrisman, Veterinarian

Dr. Melissa Ehrisman has been an associate veterinarian at our practice since July of 2002. Prior to that she attended Juniata College where she received her B.S. in Biology in 1998. From there she went on to graduate from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Veterinary Medicine in 2002, earning her VMD.

Dr. Ehrisman resides in East Salem, Pennsylvania with her husband Stan, daughter Hannah and son Carter, and several cats and dogs. She enjoys reading, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Karen Rosenberry, Veterinarian

Dr. Karen Rosenberry is a graduate of Juniata College and the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine. She practices small animal medicine and surgery and has a special interest in preventative medicine and dermatology. Dr. Rosenberry lives in Perry County with her husband and three sons.

Dr. Makenzie Bishop, Veterinarian

Dr. Makenzie Bishop was born and raised in Honey Grove, Pennsylvania. She is excited to be returning to the area, after spending the last year at a small animal practice in Maryland. Dr. Bishop attended Delaware Valley University, where she received her B.S. in Biology and a minor in Business. She earned her veterinary degree from University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, but she especially enjoys soft tissue surgery, preventative medicine, end of life and geriatric care, and educating new pet owners. She has one cat named muffin that she adopted while in veterinary school. In her free time she enjoys any activity that involves being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, and traveling to new places.
